This program will include the induction of our 2026 Posthumous Member, Jeff Wilbur.
Jeff Wilbur
Jeff Wilbur will be inducted posthumously as an honorary member of the Los Lecheros Club at this year’s Dairy Science Banquet. Jeff graduated from Cal Poly in 1989 with a degree in Agricultural Management, where he was a member of the Los Lecheros Club and the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Upon graduation, he worked for Production Credit Association before returning to his family’s dairy in 1992. Jeff worked alongside his father and uncle before becoming a partner and later establishing his own operation, Rio Blanco Dairy, in Tulare, CA.
There, he welcomed numerous Cal Poly students and faculty — including Dairy Challenge teams and Dairy Nutrition classes — to his dairy, helping to advance the Cal Poly “learn by doing” ethos.
Jeff serves as an exemplar to our Cal Poly students. He was skilled in his craft, generous and kind, and beloved by the dairy community
